Make a Royal Scepter

Items needed: 

thin cardboard or heavyweight cardstock

white craft paint

glue

paintbrushes

glitter

popsicle or craft sticks

Before the party:  

Using a cookie cutter or other star template, draw and cut stars from the cardboard or cardstock.  Paint each star white and allow to dry. Paint the craft sticks white as well and dry.

At the party:  

Pour glue into individual small paper plates for each child.  Have them paint the glue onto the white stars.

Sprinkle glitter on the stars while the glue is still wet.

Attach a popsicle stick to the star when the glue is dry.

Of course you can attach long ribbons and turn the scepters into magical wands as well.
