Dull & Boring Tea Party…We Think Not
Many parents find that they really want to go all out and hire some outside entertainment for their party. And this is a great option because it's easy and fun and keeps the kids busy for a nice part of the party.
Depending on the entertainer, you'll want to make sure you secure the booking with them about 30 days out, particularly if your party is planned for a weekend.
Here are some ideas for entertainers and what you can expect as far as approximate costs. Remember that each entertainer is different and some may be priced higher than listed here so just use these amounts as a guide to see if a particular entertainer will fall within your budget.
Children's Etiquette Coach
You can make your tea party a fabulous learning experience for your young lady and her guests by hiring a children's etiquette specialist to come and teach the girls about proper manners and etiquette. This sort of entertainment would take place during the actual tea time, so be sure to take that into account as you plan your timeline.
Approximate cost for hiring an etiquette coach would be $100-$300.
Historical Re-Enactors
Many times you can find a historical re-enactor who will come to your tea party in full authentic dress and give a first person presentation for the girls about their character or the time in which they were living.
Search your local telephone book and/or the Internet for more information on these types of performers. Most re-enactors will charge about $100-$200 per hour.
If you're not prepared to hire a clown or professional face painter, you can hire some local teenagers to do face painting with the girls as part of their tea experience.

Stuffed Animal Party Entertainer
Our favorite choice for any tea party is a stuff it yourself teddy bear activity where each guests can make her own bear and then dress it in a beautiful tea time outfit.
Local representatives can come and do the party for you (that way you get the entertainer and the take home bag all for one price!), or you can order a party in a box to go kit and do it yourself.
Party kits come with a bear (or other animal), tea dress outfit, birth certificate, stuffing and instructions on how to make this a memorable addition to your fabulous tea party.
